Use Rephrase AI Inside ChatGPT
Rephrase AI is now in the ChatGPT plugin directory. Install it, connect your Rephrase AI account, and rewrite drafts with your profiles without leaving ChatGPT.
Rephrase AI is now listed in the ChatGPT plugin directory. If you already draft emails, work messages and reports in ChatGPT, you can now rewrite them with Rephrase AI in the same chat. You pick a profile, Rephrase AI rewrites the text, and the plugin uses your Rephrase AI account to do it.
You don't need to copy your draft into another tab first.
How to install and connect it
- Open the Rephrase AI listing in the ChatGPT plugin directory and choose Install plugin.
- Sign in to connect your Rephrase AI account. The plugin uses the plan and the rephrases on that account.
- Paste a draft into ChatGPT and ask Rephrase AI to rewrite it.
If you don't have an account yet, you can create a free Rephrase AI account first.
What you can ask it
Paste the text you want rewritten, then ask in plain words. The example prompt on the listing is "Help me rephrase this draft with Rephrase AI."
You can be more specific too. Ask for a Professional version of an email, a shorter version of a report paragraph, or a Casual version of a message to your team. Rephrase AI rewrites the text you give it and keeps your meaning. The rewrite comes back as text in your ChatGPT chat.
Profiles and controls
The plugin gives you these writing profiles.
- Academic, Professional, Casual and Creative
- Format profiles for an email, a LinkedIn post, a tweet or a tweet thread
You can also ask it to adjust formality, complexity, brevity and creativity. If you're on Pro, you can ask for SuperRephrase for a deeper refinement pass.
How limits and History work
Every rewrite in ChatGPT uses one rephrase from your Rephrase AI account. This is the same allowance you use on the website.
- Free includes 3 standard rephrases a month, up to 3,000 characters each. Rewrites in ChatGPT count toward those 3.
- Pro adds unlimited rephrases up to 10,000 characters each, plus SuperRephrase. Pro is $29/month, and you can see both plans on the pricing page.
When a rewrite works, Rephrase AI saves the original, the rewrite and the settings to your Rephrase AI History, so you can find it later on the site.
What it doesn't do
The plugin rewrites the text you give it. It doesn't browse your saved History, edit files, send messages or change your billing settings. For how your data is handled, read the Rephrase AI privacy policy and the notice ChatGPT shows when you install a plugin.
